Each of our consultants has a minimum of 10 to 20 years of hands-on experience within their fields, and our unique virtual structure allows us to mesh these multiple viewpoints to produce an end result that is both different and powerful.

ANDREW WILMOT

Director:

Marketing & Strategy

Andrew joined the pharmaceutical industry in 1995 and has held numerous brand and marketing management positions over the years.  Originally from the Eastern Cape, Andrew set up The Cape Marketing & Consulting Company in 2008 after leaving his position as Marketing Director and has been consulting across various business sectors ever since.

Andrew’s main focus as a consultant is on marketing and strategy, working with clients such as Pfizer, Napp, Celgene and Nutricia to help them maximise the opportunities presented by each stage in the product lifecycle.  In addition, Andrew is a highly experienced trainer and lecturer, having successfully delivered training courses on marketing fundamentals, launch excellence and strategic marketing to delegates from across Europe, the USA, Australia and the Middle East.

In addition to Bachelor’s and Honours degrees in Industrial Psychology and Business Management, Andrew holds an MBA degree from the University of Durham and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.

TALIA BEZALELY

Final Medical Signatory

Talia is our registered final medical signatory. She is a highly experienced Medical Advisor and Final Medical Signatory with more than 10 years of experience in the industry. Talia has worked and consulted widely across the pharmaceutical industry at both national and international levels, working with some of the largest pharmaceutical companies, including Abbott, Novartis, Janssen, Celgene, Abbvie and Sandoz.

Talia successfully combines extensive disease-area knowledge and a thorough understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice. In addition, her attention to detail is exceptional, providing a reassurance that all materials she reviews are Code-compliant and scientifically accurate.

In addition to her qualifications as a medical doctor (MD), Talia also holds an MBA degree.

VANESSA WILMOT

Director:

Transformation & Executive Coaching

Vanessa is a highly experienced human resources manager and executive coach, having started her HR career in a large global blue-chip corporate more than a decade ago. Vanessa’s main areas of expertise are organisational transformation, talent management, leadership development and executive coaching.

She is an internationally accredited coach, career counsellor and 360-degree facilitator, as well as being an accredited practitioner in multiple psychometric tools, such as Myers-Briggs, FIRO B and Organisational Culture Inventory.

In addition to a diploma in business management, Vanessa also holds an MBA degree and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.

TINA FISHER

Consultant:

Strategy & Marketing

Tina has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience, having worked for a number of multinational corporations such as Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and VirginActive.

Tina’s main area of expertise is brand strategy, having worked in international marketing departments in both her native Canada and in Europe.  Tina is currently the Marketing Director of Therefour Consultants, a boutique consultancy based in Cape Town, focusing on marketing and business strategy.

In addition to a Bachelor of Science degree, Tina also holds an MBA degree from the University of Cambridge.

NICK LAGAN

Consultant:

Marketing & Strategy 

Nick can best be described as a marketer who has a fairly unique blend of experience working across Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Healthcare and, most recently, the Medical Nutrition Category.

Nick started working in the pharmaceutical industry at Sanofi, followed by a number of years at Pfizer where he worked in senior marketing roles at both national and European levels. Most recently he worked for Danone where he was responsible for setting up a new business unit before moving into the consulting world.

An experienced team leader, Nick has worked across every facet of the marketing mix and in particular has significant experience in both product launches and managing LOE brands.

Nick holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Dundee.

STEVE MARRINER

Consultant:

Project Management

Steve has more than twenty years of experience leading change and transformation projects in the banking and media sectors. Also originally from the Eastern Cape, he has held senior line management and consulting positions, gaining deep experience in South Africa, London and New York, where he is currently based.

Steve’s consulting work is focused on change management, organisational strategy and regulatory-driven banking projects for clients such as RBS, HSBC, CIT and the Bank of Montreal.

In addition to Bachelor’s and Honours degrees in Accounting and Business Management, Steve also holds an MBA degree from the University of Durham.

Formed in 2008 and based in Surrey, The Cape Marketing & Consulting Company has worked with a diverse range of customers, including Pfizer, IMS Health, Napp, AbbVie, Celgene, Teva and Danone. We have provided interim management support and consulting guidance at both national and international level for these companies on brands such as Xalatan, Lipitor, Aricept, Souvenaid, Eliquis, Flutiform K-haler, Invokana and Otezla.

During this time, we have built a solid reputation for strong strategic thought, strategic analysis and developing pragmatic, fully integrated marketing solutions to meet customer needs. In addition, we have delivered a substantial number of tailored workshops for our clients, helping them build their annual brand plans, develop their team vision & values and enhancing their project management skills.

We also develop and deliver pharma-orientated marketing training courses on subjects as diverse as marketing fundamentals, strategic marketing and launch excellence.
